Police may renew search for Elias Sorokin's body

SANTA CRUZ - Law enforcement officers from several agencies will meet Tuesday morning to review information about the disappearance of Elias Sorokin, a Los Angeles man whom police believe was killed in a drug deal gone bad last month, and may again send out cadaver dogs to look for the 29-year-old's body, Santa Cruz police said Monday.

Sorokin was last hear from July 20 and police suspect he was killed early on July 21 at a home on Felix Street in Santa Cruz. Two men - Stewart Skuba, 31, of Santa Cruz and Adam Hunt, 29, of Watsonville - have been arrested and charged with kidnapping, robbery and murder.

Last week, police searched the Santa Cruz Mountains near Bonny Doon, where Sorokin's truck was found torched, without any success.
