Cyclist robs US Bank with note

SANTA CRUZ - Santa Cruz Police are searching for a white male in his 40s suspected of robbing the US Bank on Morrissey Boulevard around noon today.
The man entered the bank just before noon and approached the teller with a note demanding money, according to spokesman Zach Friend. No weapons were reported to be used or seen. The man fled on Morrissey on a mountain bike with an undisclosed amount of money in a messenger bag. He was last seen headed past the post office, Friend said.
The man was described as a white male adult, in his 40s, wearing bicycle style sunglasses, with curly balding hair.
Police used dogs to sweep the first and second floors of the bank to pick up the original scent of where the man was and will be used in the ongoing search, police said.
