Cadaver Dogs Find Suspicious 'Mound' Outside Nashville Airport

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro police have opened an investigation after search dogs came across something suspicious during training at the airport.
Airport police were training with their cadaver dogs Monday afternoon when dogs seemed to discover something.
Investigators with the Metro Nashville Police Department responded to the area - described as a "mound" at the corner of Colfax and Harper Place.
Police said they did not know what was buried in the mound, but they do plan to excavate to find out.
The area is in the flight path, and is between Elm Hill Pike and Interstate 40.
Homes were once built on the property until the airport bought the homeowners out to clear the flight path.
