Police dog tracks suspect up tree

SOUTH FAIRMOUNT – A Cincinnati police search dog is being credited this morning with capturing a robbery suspect.

The dog tracked a man up a tree this morning shortly after a robbery at Rally’s Hamburgers, 1855 Queen City Ave., reports state.

A black, semi-automatic handgun was used during the 1:14 a.m. offense, a dispatcher said. No injuries were reported.

A police search dog picked up the suspect’s scent and followed it to a tree near the eatery, where the man was found hiding up in the branches, reports state.

Police have not said if the suspect has been charged yet or released his name.
